  • Tatjana Maria battled through a 3-hour-25-minute marathon against Chloe Paquet in Bogotá—making it the second-longest WTA match of the year. The two-time Bogotá champion showed resilience, bouncing back after missing four set points in the opening set.

  • Jessica Pegula defeated defending champion Danielle Collins in the Charleston Open quarterfinals, maintaining a perfect 6-0 record against Collins since they first played with each other in 2012. She survived a tough three-set match to advance to the final and will face fellow American player Sofia Kenin.

Jessica Pegula (World No. 4) reached her first Charleston Open final, marking her 4th final of the 2025 season and showcasing her consistency on tour! She clinched her first-ever clay court title at the event, adding to her second title of the year, after ATX Open. Can she carry this momentum into the rest of the clay season in 2025?


Player withdraws update

Belinda Bencic has withdrawn from the upcoming Billie Jean King Cup. She shared on her personal Instagram that she needs more time to rest and recover before returning to competition. Switzerland will miss her presence on the court this time.

Kim Clijsters, the former World No. 1, launched her new podcast Love All with Kim Clijsters. The debut episode features Belinda Bencic opening up about tour life and motherhood. Here’s hoping it helps shine a brighter spotlight on how women in tennis balance career and family!
